Wage: $20.00 - $36.00 / Hour

Wage will be based on an individual's skills, certifications, education, and years of experience.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Counter Parts Sales is responsible for selling parts to all customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone in a friendly and efficient manner.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient assistance to all customers-both retail and shop-in selecting the appropriate parts.
  • Answer incoming calls, offering accurate price quotes and detailed product information.
  • Deliver a high level of service to both internal and external customers.
  • Pull and fulfill orders from existing inventory.
  • Locate out-of-stock items through external sources and place emergency orders when necessary,
  • Follow up on all backordered parts to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Replenish assigned inventory stock as needed.
  • Support the Outside Sales Representatives by processing and fulfilling their orders.
  • Process payments from retail customers and obtain appropriate credit card authorizations.
  • Confirm that all charge sales are signed by the customer and documented accurately.
  • Ensure customers receive copies of their invoices.
  • Process returns and issue credits, verifying the original invoice or reference number for accurate pricing and purchase validation.
  • Conduct over-the-counter and telephone sales, generate invoices, and handle payments.
  • Provide technical support and advise customers, assisting them in parts selection.
  • Recommend and promote related or additional products through phone calls, mailing, and email communication to increase sales.
  • Read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the parts department and overall operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 Year Experience in Counter Parts Sales
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide in All Units of Measurement
  • Solve Problems With a variety of Variables in Situations
