North Central Family Medical Center (NCFMC) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to delivering affordable, accessible healthcare and pharmacy services to individuals and families across all ages. We proudly serve the Rock Hill, SC, Chester, SC and surrounding communities.


ThePharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist by assisting with prescription preparation, data entry, inventory management, and providing excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner
  • Receive pharmaceutical shipments and restock shelves
  • Accurately enter prescription and medication orders
  • Process refills and telephone orders
  • Prepare and label medication containers
  • Fill and refill prescriptions per established protocols
  • Assist with compounding medications as needed
  • Deliver dispensed medications to licensed healthcare providers
  • Process point-of-sale transactions and verify billing accuracy
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and track expiration dates
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and sterile work environment
  • Transfer prescriptions and accept verbal orders (as permitted by certification)

Education / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred

Licenses / Certifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician registration required
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification required

Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
