Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will support attorneys in various areas of law, including commercial litigation, government contracts, and personal injury, among others. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively while ensuring the highest level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Organize and maintain case files and documentation
- Assist in trial preparation, including drafting exhibits and witness lists
- Review and summarize legal documents and contracts
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters
- File documents with courts and agencies as required
- Prepare and maintain calendars for court dates and deadlines
- Assist with the management of ongoing litigation and case strategy
- Support attorneys in various legal tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Completion of an accredited paralegal program preferred
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Experience in commercial litigation and government contracts is a plus
- Familiarity with personal injury, wrongful death, and real estate law
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
