Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Mal-Practice Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and professional liability, with a focus on medical malpractice cases. This role requires a passion for advocating for clients while navigating complex litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies
- Participate in litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Analyze medical records and evidence to build strong cases
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and options
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in case management and strategy development
- Stay updated on changes in medical malpractice laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Licensed to practice in the state of IL
- 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice
- Strong skills in legal research and writing
- Experience in litigation and trial preparation
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex medical records and evidence
- Familiarity with insurance defense and professional liability cases
