Blue Skye Health, a leading functional medicine practice in Tampa is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. We specialize in hormone optimization, gut and thyroid health, and are dedicated to helping our patients achieve long-term wellness through natural and integrative healing modalities.
This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for someone who is both clinically competent and aligned with a lifestyle of wellness, empathy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and blood draws independently with confidence and accuracy
- Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling and payment for services
- Efficiently handle phone and text communication with patients in a warm and professional manner
- Enter and manage data in our electronic health record system with a high level of accuracy and speed
- Maintain clean and prepared treatment rooms, manage inventory, and assist with medical equipment
- Support providers with patient care, lab follow-ups, and general coordination of care
Requirements:
- Phlebotomy experience is required – you must be able to draw blood independently
- Previous experience in a front desk role within a medical setting
- Proficient with computers and EMR systems; comfortable with digital communication
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A genuine interest in natural medicine, healthy living, and supporting patients in a holistic care environment
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
