Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain building and all facility equipment to ensure the safety of all employees and efficiently operate and maintain production schedules. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment as well as troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
First Shift , Monday through Friday and some Saturdays
Position located in Chambersburg
1. Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment.
2. Troubleshoot PLC’s, VFD’s, and low voltage logic to properly analyze and provide efficient corrective actions/repairs.
3. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
4. Inspects and changes parts utilizing various instruments.
5. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
6. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
7. Follows industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines.
8. Logs work performed through digital log or CMMS system.
9. Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
10. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ensuring a “Safety First” culture of all employees is paramount to the job.
Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and low-voltage industrial electrical systems.
Knowledge of 110/220/440 industrial high voltage systems.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
Proactive mindset to carry out routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance
Effective time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Education and or Experience
High school diploma; 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
