Maintenance Mechanic

New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a food distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, refrigeration units, forklifts, and packaging machines.

Essential Duties:

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, refrigeration systems, and packaging machinery.

· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.

· Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance work.

· Operate hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machines.

· Assist in the installation and set up of new equipment as needed.

· Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements/Skills:

· Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food distribution or cold storage environment.

· Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

· Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold storage environments.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing and walking

· Physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
