Transactional Attorney
Career Consulting Partners is excited to collaborate with a dynamic, mid-sized law firm headquartered in Northern California with offices throughout Northern and Southern California. They specialize in Estate Planning, Trust, Tax, Business, and Real Estate law. We’re seeking a sharp, personable, detail-oriented attorney to help grow and lead our Business Department. If you’re ready to step beyond paperwork and become a true advisor, strategist, and trusted face of the firm, we’d love to meet you. You’ll manage client relationships from start to finish, both virtually (Zoom) and in person, serving as the go-to attorney in our Business Department.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Guiding clients through entity formation, governance, dissolutions, M&A, and commercial contracts.
- Drafting and reviewing a wide range of agreements: operating, shareholder, buy-sell, partnership, private placement, equity incentive, and more.
- Managing commercial real estate transactions, including purchase/sale agreements, leases, easements, and licenses.
- Leading due diligence, closings, and negotiations.
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding results while maintaining ownership of your practice area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of business transactional law experience (estate planning knowledge a plus, but not required).
- Proven ability to independently manage client relationships as lead attorney — including initial consultations, solution presentation, and closing new business.
- Confidence in selling legal services and cultivating long-term client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance multiple clients and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for translating legal concepts into plain English.
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Competitive salary: $130K–$160K, plus origination and performance bonuses
