Role: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Leland, NC 28451 (with occasional work in Wilmington location)
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: $20-$25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About The Role
We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal for our new location in Leland, NC. As a vital member of the litigation team, you'll work closely with attorneys to prepare cases for trial and navigate complex legal procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Case Management: Organizing and maintaining comprehensive case files
- Discovery: Drafting requests, reviewing responses, and managing e-discovery platforms
- Document Preparation: Drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Trial Preparation: Organizing exhibits, witness lists, and preparing trial binders
- Legal Research: Supporting case strategies and factual arguments
- Client Communication: Providing updates and gathering necessary information
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Reference Check
- Experience with litigation in North Carolina (Brunswick or New Hanover County preferred)
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Familiarity with the complete litigation lifecycle
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research software and case management systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proactive attitude with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish) is a plus
