Job DescriptionJob Title: Legal Administrative AssistantLocation: Portland, OregonSchedule: Full-TimePay Rate: $22-$25/hr.Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a growing mid-sized Portland law firm who is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role serves as the welcoming face of the firm and a central resource for attorneys, staff, and clients. The position combines consistent front desk coverage with project assistance, client intake backup, and administrative support. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phones, and assisting clients professionally
- Manage front desk operations, including mail processing, conference room coordination, and supply ordering
- Support firm events by arranging lunches, preparing meeting materials, and assisting with staff meetings and internal projects
- Scan, organize, and prepare documents, presentations, and other materials as needed
- Provide occasional backup for client intake and assist the Firm Administrator with scheduling, task follow-up, and special projects
Qualifications:
- Friendly, professional, and reliable with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- 1+ years of administrative, receptionist, or client-facing experience (law firm or professional services experience preferred)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and virtual meeting platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and good judgment
