Security Lead
- Location: Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025
- Schedule: Full time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all duties of a Security Officer as needed, acting as a role model to all newly hired Security Officers.
- Maintains consistent assessments of the performance and training of all Security Officer Trainees, making appropriate suggestions as needed.
- Provide coaching to Security Officer Trainees as needed.
- Will be held accountable to the Security Manager and the Security Supervisor for all equipment and its serviceability issued to the Security Officer Trainee.
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to job performance and training on all newly hired Security Officers, and submit paperwork to the Security Manager or Security Supervisor within a timely manner.
- Ensure newly hired Security Officers are uniformed appropriately to align with Running Aces uniform standards.
- Ensure all reports and correspondence with the Security Officer Trainees are properly completed and submitted to the Security Manager or Security Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Security Manager or Security Supervisor.
- Review and forward complaints about Security personnel from guests and employees, and report any findings to the Security Manager and the Security Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of previous security experience preferred.
- Previous work with or knowledge of accepted Gaming and Security procedures.
- Previous training or teaching experience preferred.
- Computer literacy and skills required with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Ability to work confidently within a team setting as well as individually.
- Must be First Aid, CPR, and AED trained or be able to attain certification within 3 months of hire date.
- Driver’s license preferred.
- Must be able to provide friendly, polity and courteous customer service when interacting with guests, and be able to adapt to different values, cultures or backgrounds when dealing with difficult people and/or situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, as well as to read and interpret complex information.
- Knowledgeable of Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
- Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license
Physical, intellectual and environmental conditions:
- Must have the ability to remain calm and professional at all times, fostering an ethical work environment and handling all situations honestly.
- Regularly required to talk, hear and observe activity.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs, along with the ability to push or pull up to 150lbs.
- Must possess an excellent memory for recall of event and situations.
- Required to work outside in all climates.
- Work in a crowded, tense, noisy, chaotic, and occasionally hostile environment.
- Able to work extended periods of time.
