Job Title: Store Support Supervisor

Shift: 4am-1pm

Days off: Monday/Tuesday

Job Purpose

The Store Support Supervisor is responsible for supporting the efficient movement of goods from TJ’s vendors to our warehouses and ultimately to our customers. This includes assisting in the analysis of product life cycles, vendor setup, and identifying opportunities to optimize our supply chain network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining a six-month rolling demand and supply plan for assigned products (including cross-dock, inventoried goods, transfers, and imports).

  • Analyze large datasets, including supplier production schedules, reconciliation reports, delivery appointments, and purchase order timelines.

  • Identify and review underperforming areas in the supply chain, such as missed delivery times, warehouse space constraints, weather disruptions, and stocking limitations.

  • Utilize existing or develop new technological tools, such as relational database management systems, to analyze information more efficiently.

  • Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and enhance overall efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Logistics, Warehousing, and Inventory Control leadership to provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Work closely with multiple departments including Logistics, Operations, TJ Ops, and Project Management teams.

  • Assist in vendor communications to resolve issues, support negotiation efforts, and build long-term relationships.

  • Supervise the Store Support Command Center, ensuring all tasks and open items are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Ensure effective communication between the Store Support Command Center, warehouses, and TJ Ops Team regarding requests or concerns, maintaining detailed logs and sending daily reports.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of statistical formulas and pivot tables.

  • Experience with relational database tools such as Business Objects, Business Intelligence, or Microsoft Access.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to supervise a diverse workforce.

  • Accountability in meeting deadlines and following through on tasks.

Education and Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related fields preferred.

  • Strong background in data analysis and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with relational database systems such as:

    • Business Objects

    • Business Intelligence tools

    • Microsoft Access
