Job Description – Blender Operator
Job Summary
Cuts and dumps raw materials into blending equipment in accordance with customer specifications. Packages and palletizes finished products for warehouse transfer. Maintains a clean and organized work area. To be proficient in this position, an individual must complete comprehensive training program.
This is a Safety-Sensitive Position because performance can directly affect the safety of the employee and others. The role involves operating heavy machinery and handling potentially dangerous tools near others. Due to the nature of these responsibilities, we are unable to accommodate Medical Marijuana and other prescriptions that could result in impairment.

Essential Functions
- Mixing raw materials into finished products
- Adheres to customer and company specifications and mixing instructions.
- Performs Quality Control checks on all materials and equipment prior to and during use.
- Executes cut and dump procedures for producing batches.
- Accurately completes production paperwork and reports.
- Packaging of finished products
- Confirms label accuracy with paperwork.
- Labels packaging materials.
- Accurately fills contents of packaging materials with finished product.
- Properly seals bags.
- Palletizes finished product for warehouse transfer.
- Sanitation of work area
- Disposes of used packaging materials in proper receptacles.
- Dust and sweeps work areas to keep them free of spilled or loose products.
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and organized working area.
- Training and Support
- Assists in the training of new personnel.
- Ensures food safety objectives and SQF Code compliance.
- Acts as an alternate for all Blender positions.
- Performs additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for inventory control.
- Forklift experience Is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, stoop, and occasionally sit.
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms, talk, hear, and smell.
- Must regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally climb ladders to access equipment.
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Must be able to move about production and warehouse areas with moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection required in designated areas).
Work Environment:
- Sheltered, climate-controlled production/warehouse environment.
- Frequent exposure to grain dust in production and warehouse areas.
- Noise levels range from moderate to high.
