Flexible Warehouse Solutions (FWS) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee client, vendor, and service agreements that support our warehouse and fulfillment operations. The Contracts Manager will play a key role in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts that govern our storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and service terms. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics, warehousing services, inventory management, and third-party vendor relationships, as well as the ability to ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with operations, finance, client services, and sales teams to safeguard company interests while delivering flexible solutions to our diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate client service agreements, storage contracts, and fulfillment terms that align with FWS policies.
- Manage and maintain an organized database of all active contracts, amendments, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, insurance requirements, and liability clauses tied to warehousing and logistics services.
- Partner with sales and client services teams to develop contracts that meet client needs while protecting company interests.
- Review vendor and carrier agreements (e.g., packaging suppliers, freight providers, shipping carriers).
- Collaborate with the finance team on billing terms, pricing structures, and revenue recognition tied to contract language.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Support warehouse operations by ensuring equipment leases, service agreements (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scanning systems, WMS software), and facility leases are compliant and current.
- Act as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries and dispute resolution.
- Monitor renewal dates and proactively manage renegotiations or contract expirations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3–5 years) as a Contracts Manager, Contract Administrator, or similar role in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, order fulfillment processes, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, risk management, and compliance standards relevant to third-party logistics (3PL).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and contract management systems; experience with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations managers, finance teams, and client service representatives.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Knowledge of equipment and facility agreements (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, racking systems, leased office/warehouse space).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate operational risks.
