Manual Machinist
M-F
6AM - 3:30 PM with OT
$25-$30/Hr
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to engineering specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machining processes
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function and adjust settings as necessary for optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to keep them in good working condition
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of machining processes and manual machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Technical certifications related to machining or manufacturing
- Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Understanding of materials and their properties for machining
