Small to medium sized law firm in Southeastern Virginia seeks a law firm administrator. The job duties include office management, financial management including accounting and budgeting, payroll, and managing office expenses. The administrator will also act as a staff supervisor by managing staff benefits, hiring, and any personnel issues. Lending administrative support by tracking contracts with vendors and various firm software licenses will also be necessary. We are seeking someone who possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrates proficiency in legal terminology, regulations, and office software. A good candidate will be detail oriented and able to maintain discretion as sensitive information will be handled. The preferred candidate will have experience in a professional administrative or legal support role for a professional office as well as a degree in business administration, legal studies, or a related field. Someone certified in legal management would be well-qualified but those who fit what is outlined above are encouraged to apply. Our firm offers health, vision, and dental insurance as well as 401k matching up to a certain percentage. Paid vacation and holidays.
