Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Defense Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in supporting legal operations and assisting attorneys in delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense litigation and be skilled in managing case-related tasks and legal documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in defense litigation matters, including insurance defense cases.
• Manage and organize case files using case management software to ensure all documentation is accurate and readily accessible.
• Draft, edit, and prepare legal briefs, correspondence, and other documents using tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
• Handle billing functions and maintain accurate financial records related to case management.
• Oversee calendar management, ensuring timely scheduling of court dates, deadlines, and appointments.
• Administer claims and liaise with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders for effective communication.
• Utilize Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) to manage property-related matters as needed.
• Coordinate with attorneys to ensure compliance with court and filing requirements through systems like CompuLaw.
• Conduct legal research and provide case-related insights to support litigation strategies.
• Assist in briefing and preparing materials for court proceedings and client meetings.• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting, with a focus on defense litigation.
• Proficiency in using Aderant and other case management software.
• Strong skills in Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and editing.
• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and CompuLaw.
• Demonstrated ability to manage billing functions and maintain financial accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills, particularly in calendar and case file management.
• Effective communication abilities to interact with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of insurance defense litigation processes and practices.
