These roles are currently remote opportunities however MUST RESIDE IN ILLINOIS (Springfield preferred) to be considered for these roles.

Flexible schedule within the timeframe of Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST

Pay rate ranges between $19.00 - $22.00 (pay rate varies based on experience underneath a CRSS certification)

Wellness and Recovery Team Lead is responsible for providing support for staff and services conducted telephonically.

Position Responsibilities: In addition to providing direct support to callers, Team Lead under the direction of the Director of Wellness & Recovery, will be responsible for:

  • Supports the team to ensure all aspects of calls, documentation, and follow-up are completed to standards
  • Assists with the design, development, and modification of workflows for the Wellness and Recovery Team including all processes and protocols, monitor staffing work queues including daily coverage
  • Conducts training of new Wellness and Recovery Team members and provides support and training to team members identified as needing additional support
  • Facilitates policy implementation and maintenance, assesses training and development needs, and identifies resources and tools to improve program effectiveness and quality
  • Provides coverage and consultation as needed for the evening and Saturday shifts
  • Works collaboratively with teams and leadership in pursuit of person centric holistic approach to care
  • Engages, educates and encourages individuals and their families to connect with support services, community resources and advocacy assistance.
  • Documents operational challenges and opportunities associated with calls

Position Requirements:

  • : High School Degree (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, healthcare, social services, or other related field preferred
  • : State issued automobile operating license • Credential: Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS)

•: Three years’ experience in a relevant field performing recovery support, documented skills and abilities in program development, design, organization, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation; proven ability and experience in community relations/networking and information and resource development maintenance; established knowledge of and work experience with the Medicaid affiliated population desirable.

Wellness Support Specialist

  • Provide wellness and recovery education and emotional support on the Illinois Warm Line for diverse populations across the state of Illinois in a private location to ensure the confidentiality of the caller
  • Use person-centered, strength-based, culturally and trauma-informed approaches to empower individuals to define and pursue their own recovery and wellness goals

Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in their own recovery and be able to share that experience with others using effective disclosure.

Additional qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential status is currently active or able to be obtained within two (2) years of employment
  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience working within the human services field
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience working with substance abuse and/or addiction recovery
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to set and maintain boundaries using trauma-informed principles and approaches
  • A broad understanding of recovery principles and application along the continuum of recovery with a commitment to person-centered empowerment, culturally competent services, and a nonjudgmental approach
  • Ability to work independently in an organized, efficient, and productive manner
  • Capacity to multitask and complete projects collaboratively with team members
  • Must have reliable internet service to work from home
  • Must be able to ensure confidentiality of callers and secure storage of computer equipment Job
