Reports To: Service Manager

Job Summary:

As a Hyundai Service Adviser, you will be the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service. You will represent the Hyundai brand by delivering exceptional customer service, accurately assessing vehicle needs, and coordinating with technicians to ensure timely and high-quality repairs and maintenance. Your role is essential in building customer trust and loyalty to the Hyundai brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers to the Hyundai service department with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and gather detailed information on service needs.
  • Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms.
  • Recommend Hyundai factory-scheduled maintenance and additional services based on vehicle history and inspection results.
  • Prepare and explain repair orders, obtain customer authorization, and communicate estimated costs and timelines.
  • Liaise with Hyundai-certified technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and timely service.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the service process and notify them of any changes or additional recommendations.
  • Review completed work with customers, explain charges, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Promote Hyundai service specials, warranty programs, and customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or Hyundai-specific training is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a service adviser, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Hyundai vehicles and service procedures (training provided if needed).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and Hyundai service software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position; may include Saturdays and extended hours.
  • Work is performed in a dealership service drive and office environment.
  • Frequent interaction with customers, technicians, and Hyundai service team members.
