Job DescriptionQuality Control Technician – Columbia, SCWe’re seeking a Quality Control Technician for a metal fabrication and machine shop located in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering long-term stability and opportunity for advancement.Schedule & Pay

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Read and interpret blueprints to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Perform random quality checks and document inspection results
• Conduct process audits and assist in resolving quality issues
• Support calibration activities and maintain accurate inspection records
• Collaborate with production and shipping teams to ensure quality compliance

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills – this is a must
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related inspection tools
• Solid math and computer skills; familiarity with basic quality software preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
