The Engineering Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring a Medical Device Engineer for an exciting medical device organization near San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
- Lead the exploration and down-selection of manufacturing processes for new technologies and new system architectures
- Lead prototyping of selected manufacturing processes
- Identify potential process risks, assess their impact and develop and implement mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to identify process needs.
- Plan and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and utilize six sigma methodologies to characterize, assess capabilities and optimize processes.
- Perform statistically robust and industry standard analysis of data
- Present data findings to technical teams and leadership teams
- Develop and maintain equipment and process documentation, managing release through the QMS
- Lead or support equipment / process qualifications including protocol development and execution.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experimental Design experience
- Data Analysis experience
- CAD-SolidWorks experience
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma preferred
- JMP or Minitab preferred
- Experience in Medical Device
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am/9am to 5pm
- Must be flexible to come onsite. Not a fully remote position.
- Position Type: 6 month contract with potential for extension / conversion.
- Pay rate range approved $72-$82/hr
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
