We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to handle a variety of family law cases with a focus on child custody, matrimonial issues, domestic abuse, child support, and annulment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law, a commitment to providing exceptional client service, and a desire to advocate for clients during a difficult time in their lives. This role requires a dynamic professional who can work independently, has excellent negotiation skills, and is comfortable in a courtroom setting.

Although this role can be remote we need people who are within commuting distance of Richland, WA.

Job Details



Responsibilities:
As a Family Law Attorney, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Representing clients in legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions related to family law.
2. Handling a caseload involving child custody, matrimonial issues, domestic abuse, child support, and annulment.
3. Negotiating settlements in a manner that is in the best interest of the client.
4. Conducting thorough case research and investigation to identify legal issues and develop strategies.
5. Working closely with clients to ensure they are fully informed of their rights and options, and guiding them through the legal process.
6. Collaborating with legal support staff to ensure that all case matters are handled promptly and professionally.
7. Staying updated on changes in family law and informing clients of any changes that might affect their case.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
3. Must be a member in good standing with Washington State Bar.
4. Proven track record of representing clients in family law cases and achieving successful outcomes.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in an understandable manner.
6. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that is beneficial to the client.
7. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a large caseload and multiple deadlines.
8. A strong sense of compassion and empathy for clients dealing with difficult family situations.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
