Position Overview
The firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its dedicated legal team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in family law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. This role is vital to supporting attorneys with case preparation, client interaction, and ensuring timely filings and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal correspondence.
- Manage case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Conduct legal research to support the case strategy.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case developments.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and case binders.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity when working with clients facing challenging family matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law.
- Strong understanding of Texas family law procedures and local court rules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
