Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment, responding to equipment downtime, and supporting maintenance and engineering projects. This role requires 4-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or 2 years with a recognized trade certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment, ensuring optimal and safe operation.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Support the installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Maintain accurate documentation using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Follow safety policies, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and contribute to workplace health and safety improvements.
- Support and complete small electrical or mechanical projects as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace aligned with housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of industrial PCs, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff), and related circuitry.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on electrical and mechanical systems, PLC systems, robots, AC/DC drives, and motion controls.
- Familiarity with equipment setup, preventive maintenance practices, and single/three-phase systems preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- 4-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or
- 2 years of experience with a recognized trade certification (e.g., Electrician or Industrial Mechanic).
- Preferred: Knowledge of electrical/hydraulic systems, CMMS, forklift or scissor lift operation.
