Licensing Coordinator
Pay: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: Hybrid - Must live in Houston , TX (mostly remote; onsite for meetings/trainings)
Overview
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for managing the acquisition and renewal of professional licenses for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with a focus on out-of-state licensing. This role ensures providers are fully credentialed and compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of APP out-of-state licensure and renewals.
Maintain accurate tracking of timelines, documentation, and regulatory deadlines.
Complete and submit applications with required verifications, fingerprints, and state-specific materials.
Serve as the primary liaison between APPs, internal teams, and state boards.
Provide proactive updates on changing requirements and deadlines.
Keep licensing records accurate, audit-ready, and compliant in the credentialing database.
Create and update standard operating procedures and workflow guides.
Collaborate with credentialing and compliance teams for onboarding and privileging.
Assist with audits, quality initiatives, and other credentialing support as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum three years in medical staff services, credentialing, licensing, or related field (five years preferred).
Preferred Certification: CPCS or CPMSM (NAMSS).
Preferred Skills: Experience with APP/NP/PA out-of-state licensing strongly preferred.
Location Requirement: Must currently reside in the Houston, TX area.
