THE BARN
Saturdays 6pm-close and as needed for private events
The Barn is an exclusive social club that caters to residents in the Columbus / Dublin, Ohio
submarket. The building includes a Fitness Facility, Pool, and Clubroom. We are looking for an
experienced General Manager to direct and oversee daily business operations. The General Manager
must be able to competently oversee all aspects of the facility and ensure on-call coverage is
available for all positions in the event of associate illness.
Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to the following:
Facility Scheduling
• Staff schedule- including contingency plan for each shift in case of absence
• Member Events
• Weekly Entertainment
Staff Management
• Hiring / Training
• Supervising / Evaluating
• Delegating daily tasks
• Nurturing positive working relationships with staff
• Leading by example and creating an environment of exceptional customer service
Inventory and Ordering
• Weekly ordering for bar and kitchen
• Monthly inventory counts
• Ordering cleaning supplies and pool chemicals based on facility needs
• Cash Handing and Reporting
• Petty cash reconciliation
• Nightly drawer reports
• Tip disbursement and reconciliation
• Sales and tax reports
Social Media
• Directing social media posts on a variety of platforms
• Collaborating with team members and communicating events with Property Managers for resident
benefit
Customer Service
• Exceptional customer service Greeting guests and becoming familiar with regulars
• Addressing any issues in a timely fashion
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
• Timely and detailed completion and remittance of incident reports
• Compliance with all laws governing the sale and distribution of alcohol and food
Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be an effective leader
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of three years of experience bartending
• Great at multi-tasking
• Available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
• Positive and engaging personality
• Basic math and computer skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time
• Ability to work in a loud environment

Education and/or Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree or job experience may substitute for degree
General management experience preferred
