The Managing Broker is a leader that focuses on the success and productivity of the company’s agents. The person in this role is responsible for a) developing agents through strong and thoughtful coaching, training and accountability, b) recruiting new experienced agents to grow the company’s market share and revenues, and c) managing transaction compliance and legal changes with DORA.

Candidate Profile

This role is responsible for leading and growing the organization in collaboration with leadership/ownership team. The ideal person for this role is someone who demonstrates leadership ability plus the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits of a high performer. A leader who can create relationships and builds trust with the core group of agents.

A person who can lead the recruiting and growth activities by influencing and helping others achieve their goals. Someone who leads by example and helps agents achieve higher levels of performance. A leader that can help grow the organization through enhancing performance, increasing agent count and creating operational efficiencies that scale. A leader skilled in agent training, coaching and accountability is a must with a desire to be a constant learner and improve in these areas consistently.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to run and grow a successful real estate office and know how to leverage themselves through people, systems and tools. They must possess leadership skills, intelligence, handle pressure well, while remaining calm and patient. They must have proven organizational skills including goal setting and planning ability at a leadership level.

This role requires the ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment. The ideal person would thrive in this type of environment. They seek challenges, adapt to change easily and are tenacious. They don’t give up easily and yet are able to collaborate with the team and others in the industry. They are calm under pressure yet move fast and follow through on their commitments. The ability to make decisions quickly and with data is critical. This role interacts with a multitude of people in different roles and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to top-notch listening and coaching skills.
