Job DescriptionWe’re looking for Automotive Technicians who have experience working with a variety of vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive systems and components. If you are a self-starter with a passion for cars, then we want you on our team!
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical repairs to a wide range of vehicles.
- Replace and/or repair engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, suspensions.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and fluid changes.
- Diagnose the cause of mechanical failure, complex drivability problems, and safety problems in automotive equipment and determine appropriate repairs needed.
- Perform skilled repair work on automotive equipment.
- Operate complex computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and skillfully.
- Safely lift objects weighing 50 pounds.
- Retest drives after repairs completed to verify that repair solve.
- Work independently, prioritize work, and make sound decisions.
- Read and understand automotive operating manuals and schematics.
- Automotive Technician with current ASE Certifications preferred.
- Current Illinois driver's license with clean driving record.
- 10 years professional, automotive problem solving, repair experience.
- Strong automotive electrical & mechanical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience.
- Significant investment in their own tools and has the knowledge to use them.
- Reliable transportation to and from work and be punctual Monday through Friday.
- High energy level, self-motivated with initiative and able to perform all the above without guidance or supervision and without taking shortcuts or compromising job integrity.
