- Location: New Britain
- Shift: Full Time – Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 3:30pm
We’re looking for a hands-on, quality-focused team player to join our production crew as a Food Service Fulfillment Quality Control Lead. This role is all about supporting the crew and be a go-to resource on the floor, helping ensure our oat products meet the highest standards while encouraging best practices and training team members in real time.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply your QC expertise to monitor oat-based product quality during fulfillment and packaging.
- Conduct in-process checks and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
- Document findings, escalate issues, and support corrective actions
- Identify and address inconsistencies or issues in real time.
- Act as a point of contact (POC) for the production crew.
- Encourage and reinforce proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members.
- Participate in daily production tasks alongside the crew, when needed.
- Assist with fulfillment processes.
- Help troubleshoot equipment or workflow issues when needed
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in food production or fulfillment (bonus if it’s oat-related!).
- Experience in food quality control or food manufacturing.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and observational skills.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- Ability to coach and encourage peers without direct supervision authority.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Bonus If You Have These Skills:
- Familiarity with oat-based or grain-focused food manufacturing.
- Basic computer skills for logging QC data and reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills while working under pressure.

Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout an 8–10 hour shift, often on hard surfaces.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, including bags of oats, packaging supplies, and production tools.
- Comfortable bending, reaching, crouching, and performing repetitive motions during batching, packaging, and quality inspection tasks.
- Tolerance for working in a production environment with variable temperatures, including cool storage areas and warm processing zones.
- Willingness to work in areas with airborne oat dust and other food particulates, while adhering to respiratory and allergen safety protocols.
- Ability to wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, masks, and safety glasses, for extended periods.
- Strong spatial awareness and caution when working around moving machinery, forklifts, conveyors, and other production equipment.
- Capacity to remain focused and detail-oriented in a noisy, fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Comfortable performing tasks that require fine motor skills, such as inspecting packaging seals, measuring ingredients, and logging QC data.
