Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated School Law Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in school law, litigation, and a passion for advocating on behalf of schools and their stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to school districts on a variety of issues including policy development, student rights, and employment matters.
  • Represent educational institutions in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations with external parties.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to school operations and compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in education law and regulations to ensure school compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions for school staff on legal issues affecting their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in the development of school policies to mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in school law or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of education statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Proven litigation experience and knowledge of trial procedures.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
