Talent Consultants is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Trademark Attorney to join our client's legal team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and clients in managing trademark portfolios and addressing a variety of intellectual property issues. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of trademark law, strong research and analytical skills, and a passion for helping clients protect their brand identity. You will be involved in the preparation and filing of trademark applications, conducting trademark searches, and providing strategic advice on trademark enforcement and disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of domestic and international trademark applications.
  • Conduct trademark searches and provide thorough analysis of potential conflicts.
  • Draft and respond to Office Actions and maintain client correspondence.
  • Advise clients on trademark rights, enforcement strategies, and compliance issues.
  • Monitor and manage trademark portfolios for clients including renewals and maintenance.
  • Support senior attorneys in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings.
  • Stay updated on developments in trademark law and related intellectual property issues.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide insights on brand protection strategies.

Preferred Technical Experience:

  • Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and neural networks
  • Radio frequency (RF) circuitry
  • Hardware and/or communications security (e.g., encryption/decryption)

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in the state of practice.
  • 3 years of experience in in patent preparation and prosecution.
  • Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of intended office.
  • USPTO registration required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, CS or Physics.
  • Strong academic credentials and prior law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
