Our client in Fairbury, IL is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their team as experienced CMM Operator.

A CMM Operator (Coordinate Measuring Machine Operator) is a skilled professional responsible for operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to measure the dimensions and geometries of various mechanical parts, components, and materials. Here are some key aspects of the role:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Operate CMM equipment to perform precise measurements, inspections, and testing of production materials and components.
- Programming: Program CMM to measure parts and components according to design specifications using specialized software.
- Inspection: Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Documentation: Document and report non-conforming materials and discrepancies.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMM programming and use of relevant software applications.
- Experience: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of related experience.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing symbols.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
