Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, Ca
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Are you a detail-oriented Legal Secretary with a passion for supporting attorneys in a dynamic litigation environment? LHH is seeking an experienced professional to join our law firm client’s team, specializing in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. This is a confidential search—client details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.
What You’ll Do:

Craft and format legal correspondence, briefs, and documents with precision and professionalism.

Manage timely and accurate filing of legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing expertise required).

Maintain attorney calendars using Outlook and specialized court docketing software (Milana).

Prepare engagement letters and initiate new file opening memos.

Proofread all documents meticulously to ensure accuracy before distribution or filing.

Track attorney-client deadlines and schedule appointments using electronic calendaring and docketing systems.

Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and necessary equipment.

Process expense reimbursements promptly.

Review vendor invoices for accuracy, prepare check requests, and submit invoices for payment.

Collaborate with colleagues and provide support across the team, including assisting visitors, paralegals, and attorneys as needed.

Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and proactively seeking assistance when required.

Accept overflow work and provide coverage for absent team members.
What You’ll Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

At least five years of experience as a legal secretary in a law firm setting.

Must have experience in Bankruptcy litigation

Advanced proficiency with legal technology: Pacer, ECF, iManage or similar document management systems, Aderant, Litera, and MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Solid understanding of legal terminology, litigation documents, and processes—including the ability to mark and generate tables of contents and authorities.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation:

Annual salary range: $90,000–$100,000
