THIS POSITION IS IN SUMMERLIN
As aCompounding Pharmacy Technician,you will prepare medications in mass quantities, review order lists and create daily workloads. You will also be responsible for matching compounded products against outgoing orders, while helping to maintain a clean and efficient lab environment. You should understand Material Safety Data Sheet MSDS guidelines for maintaining safety and managing safety events. Also, must be able to stand for long periods of time and be capable of wearing all protective wear as required by State Board of Pharmacy (mask, gloves, gown, hair net, safety goggles etc.). These are some additional responsibilities for this position:
Responsibilities:
Follow all company policies and procedures
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions
Demonstrates ability to perform sterile compounding per strict USP 795/800
guidelines
Demonstrates proficiency with following direction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt with change of workflow
Properly use, calibrate and maintains equipment needed in making of compounds
Sampling batches for quality testing. Executes required in-process product quality checks and documents accurately
Perform miscellaneous inventory of consumables to ensure proper stock
Operate, clean and sterilize aseptic compounding equipment and compounding areas
Maintain housekeeping standards in the compounding areas
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Ensure all calculations on compounding log sheets are accurate and correct
Follow all SOPs, USP and all other safety and company policies, double check calculations, record compounding procedures, lot and expiry of ingredients.
Coordinate with other pharmacy team members to compound preparations and execute quality assurance procedures, following standard operating procedures
Ensure all compounds are prepared in accordance to the master formulas and in according with USP<795>, USP <797>, and USP<800>.
Responsible for inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of all laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary/required for the preparations
Monitor and record inventory of chemicals, materials, consumables, and other required items.
Cleaning of all work areas, including work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls etc.,
Qualifications
2 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Nevada Pharmacy Technician License
2 year experience with Excel
Experience with Compounder/PK Software
Experience with compounding creams, capsules, and troches
Excellent attention to detail
Flexible and proactive to meet varied patient and company needs
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong interpersonal and people skills
Able to read, write, and speak English properly, other languages are a plus
Ability to perform simple pharmaceutical calculations for individualized prescriptions.
Must be able to meet physical demands which may include light lifting
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:30a-6p
