Looking for Mental Health Counselors, Associates and Therapists (ACSW/AMFT/APCC and Above)!

At Guiding Hands Healthcare, we specialize in creating safe, supportive spaces for clients who are new to mental health or substance use treatment. Were looking for compassionate, grounded clinicians who can meet clients where theyre at, whether theyre in early recovery, just starting therapy, or exploring group support for the first time.

Position: Mental Health Group Facilitator

We are hiring Master's level ACSWs, AMFTs, APCCs, and Licensed Therapists to lead psychoeducational and skills-based groups for clients.

What you'll do:

• Facilitate beginner-friendly, structured group sessions focused on topics such as:
• Understanding mental health & substance use
• Emotional regulation
• Coping skills & self-awareness
• Building trust in group settings
• Provide consistency, stability, and positive reinforcement
• Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the treatment team
• Participate in group and individual supervision

• You enjoy breaking down clinical concepts in relatable ways
• You value meeting clients with empathy and zero judgment
• You can maintain boundaries while creating a welcoming environment

Qualifications:

• Registered associate (ACSW, AMFT, APCC) or Licensed Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)
• At least 1+ years of experience in MH/SUD settings (internship or practicum included)
• Comfortable facilitating groups of 412 clients
• Must pass background, TB, drug screening, and provide liability insurance

Schedule & Location:

• Flexible scheduling: 610 hours/week to start
• Monday 10-12 pm and 1-3 pm
• Tuesday-Wednesday 10-12 pm
• Thursday 10-12 and 1-2 pm
• Friday 10-12 pm
• Opportunities in both San Diego and Orange County
• Locations: Torrey Pines, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Del Cerro, Clairemont, Bay Park, Oak Park
