Position Overview
This is a crucial multi-role position where you will be instrumental in clinical patient, procedural and administrative support. You will work directly with our physicians, advanced practice providers and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our patients. This role is essential for our expanding practice and requires dependability, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties:
- Greet and room patients, accurately documenting vital signs, medical histories, pain and functional status.

- Prepare, turn over and clean exam rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.

- Creating consents for upcoming procedures, XRAY image acquisition, patient calls, DME brace dispensing.

- Efficiently manage patient flow to maintain appointment schedules.

- Handle prescription refills and prior authorizations in a timely manner.

- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions, as well as general health information.

- General cleaning of office (taking out trashes, mopping floors)
- Procedural Assistance:
- Prepare procedure rooms with sterile instruments and supplies for various procedures, including fluoroscopic procedures, Botox procedures, shockwave therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.

- Assist the physician or provider during procedures, maintaining a sterile field.

- Prepare and process biological kits for regenerative medicine therapies like PRP injections.

- Monitor patients’ post-procedure and assist with their recovery.

- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after each procedure.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in pain management, orthopedics, or a related specialty.
- Experience with injections, blood draws (phlebotomy), and sterile technique is a significant advantage.
- BLS certification (required prior to or within first 60 days of hire))
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a reliable, team-oriented individual with a positive and eager-to-learn attitude.
