Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney - Insurance Defense
Location: 100% Remote (Must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar)
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $160,000-$180,000/year
- Bonus: $15,000-$20,000 End-of-Year Performance Bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Litigation Attorney with deep expertise in insurance defense, including general liability, commercial auto, premises liability, and property & casualty claims. This is a high-impact role for a litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocacy, strategy, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the defense of complex civil litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, including MSJs and Daubert motions.
- Conduct depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses.
- Develop litigation strategies aligned with carrier guidelines and client objectives.
- Negotiate settlements and manage mediation/arbitration proceedings.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.
- Ensure compliance with billing protocols and case management systems.
- Stay current on Texas tort law, insurance regulations, and procedural developments.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas (required).
- Minimum 8 years of defense-side litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
- Proven track record of handling high-volume caseloads and achieving favorable outcomes.
- Strong command of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and evidentiary standards.
- Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with carrier reporting and litigation management software (e.g., CounselLink, TyMetrix, or similar).
- Commitment to professionalism, responsiveness, and team collaboration.
