Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic
manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in
CNC and manual machining who takes pride in producing high-quality parts to exact
specifications.
Responsibilities for the CNC/Manual Machinist:
- Perform machining tasks safely and efficiently in an industrial shop environment.
Machining processes include but not limited to Turning, Milling, Drilling, Reaming,
Boring, Slotting, Grinding, and Tapping. - Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal mills and lathes
- Load and run CNC programs, ensuring machine efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inspection results.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and
productivity. - Ensure all safety procedures are followed, and the proper PPE is in place.
- Be able to safely and properly rig, move, and flip heavy parts using overhead cranes.
- Monitor and maintain shop tooling.
- Read and understand blueprints on an advanced level.
- Be able to inspect and report dimensional features of workpieces using scales, calipers,
micrometers, profilometer, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
Qualifications for the CNC/Manual Machinist - Must have a good attitude, good attendance, and be able to contribute to a positive
culture that is focused on safety and efficiency. - Must have a knowledge of rigging and the use of overhead cranes.
- Minimum of 10 years combined experience as a CNC and manual machinist.
- Advanced understanding of blueprints, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- Advanced understanding of metrology and use of inspection tools.
- Available to work weekends and overtime.
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
