Entry Level Facilities Maintenance Technician
Vadnais Heights, MN
1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (Occasional Overtime/Weekends)
Pay: $25-$30/hr depending on experience
Position Overview
Join H.B. Fuller’s Willow Lake campus as an Entry Level Facilities & Maintenance Technician, where you’ll support daily operations and learn the fundamentals of building systems. This hands-on role offers training and experience in a collaborative technical environment. You’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace while growing your skills in facilities maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform basic tasks: filter changes, light bulb replacements, and equipment cleaning
- Support workspace organization and minor repairs
- Assist technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs
- Report facility issues (e.g., leaks, temperature changes)
- Maintain mechanical rooms and supply areas
- Follow safety protocols and wear PPE
- Set up work areas for contractors/vendors
- Track inventory and restock supplies
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–3 years of related experience (internships/part-time welcome)
- Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Willingness to obtain MN State Special Boiler License
Preferred Requirements
- Vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or building maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic repairs
- Exposure to safety practices (e.g., Lockout-Tagout)
- Interest in long-term facilities career
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $25 - $30/hr.
