Job Summary
Are you ready to lead, inspire and make an impact? Eastside Catholic is seeking a passionate and driven High School Girls Volleyball Head Coach to guide our Metro League team to new heights. Reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics, you’ll shape a team culture rooted in positivity, inclusion and continuous improvement. You’ll mentor student-athletes, sharpen their skills and help them grow into confident leaders—in competition and in life. The role runs primarily through the fall season (late August – mid November, 2026) with additional opportunities for off-season development.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that includes strength and conditioning, skill development and team strategy.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes to promote their personal and academic growth.
· Develop game strategies and tactics to maximize the team's chances of success.
· Monitor and analyze the team's performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Build a positive team culture by incorporating the EC Core Covenants: Team Competitor, Integrity, Accountability and Family.
· Model behavior that exemplifies our EC Core Covenants.
· Work with the team to establish team expectations based on the EC Core Covenants.
· Implement team activities to promote EC Core Covenants.
· Create and enforce team rules and standards of conduct to promote accountability and discipline.
· Coordinate with school administrators, parents and other stakeholders to ensure the team's success.
· Participate in league meetings and events as required.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes to promote their personal growth on and off the field.
· Establish seasonal and long-range goals for the program.
· Hire and manage staff, including varsity assistant coach and specialty coaches, as needed.
· Coordinate off season conditioning and workouts.
· Coordinate team building and bonding activities.
· Coordinate team uniform ordering and distribution.
· Support all fundraising efforts.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics.
Requirements:
· Meet AA coaching standards and hold CPR/First Aid certification (or obtain before the season).
· Have successfully complete a school background check, fingerprinting and Safe Environment training prior to the season.
· Previous coaching experience (head coach preferred; college or elite high school level a plus).
· Positive, motivated and responsible coaching style.
· Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to inspire and develop student-athletes both on and off the field.
· Commitment to academic success, sportsmanship and personal growth.
· Ability to collaborate with assistant coaches and athletic staff.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
