Job Description

Title: Licensing Specialist

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday required onsite)

Duration: Temporary to Permanent Placement

Compensation: $30-34/hour temp | $75,000-78,000/year upon conversion


Job Summary: Our client, a prestigious non-profit healthcare association, is seeking a Licensing Specialist to join their team!


Key Responsibilities:

· Manage relationships with licensees and ensure full use and access to products and data files.

· Identify and address unauthorized use of intellectual property; coordinate with Legal and Finance teams to resolve licensing issues.

· Drive licensing revenue by identifying new clients and optimizing existing licenses.

· Analyze royalty and usage data; develop dashboards and reports for leadership and coordinate with Finance to ensure accuracy.

· Serve as an expert resource for publishers, developers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders regarding licensing policies and content use.

· Work cross-functionally with internal departments to enhance licensing processes and support the overall intellectual property strategy.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

· At least five years’ experience in related areas such as marketing or contract administration.

· Experience in non-profits and/ or licensing required

· Demonstrated ability to learn effectively and communicate clearly; demonstrated ability to exercise discretion

· Previous experience working with external organizations to ensure compliance with contracts; particularly in close collaboration with Sales, Finance and Legal departments

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and contract management systems. Advanced Web researching and editing skills

· Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and communicate status of assignments

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, including working cooperatively with departmental staff and staff in other organizational units
