BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

Responsible for supervising cage practices and procedures in accordance with industry standards for a designated shift. Maintains cage records and reports required by Cage Procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Oversees all cage operations on a designated shift.
  • Responsible for reviewing all paperwork on your shift.
  • Responsible for scheduling staff for excellent Guest Service.
  • Assist Main Bankers and Employee Service Cashiers when needed.
  • Service Kiosks when needed.
  • Reconciles Variance Logs and inputs Variance Points.
  • Monitors Paylocity for accuracy and completes employee's Timesheets at the end of the pay period.
  • Inputs Vacation and Sick days to Paylocity.
  • Processes Payroll in the absence of the Cage Manager.
  • Inputs Attendance occurrences in the absence of the Cage Manager.
  • Provides excellent guest and team member relations.
  • Provides professional supervision and direction to cage team members on designated shift; resolves problems; makes sound decisions; exercises discretion and refers appropriate problems and decisions to Cage Manager.
  • Assures that all shift team members comply with all applicable internal controls and reporting
  • Requirements. Responsible for recording Title 31 information.
  • Maintains appropriate security measures to protect company assets and confidential company information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year cage, banking, or other acceptable cash handling experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in cash and paperwork handling.
  • Proficient ability to operate 10-key adding machine/calculator with high degree of accuracy.
  • General working knowledge of cage and casino operations.
  • Team oriented; minimum one year supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct cage operations in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Minimum one year computer experience.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Must be able to bend, twist, and kneel. Must lift 40 pounds. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
