Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Defense Attorney to represent clients in legal proceedings, specifically in cases related to insurance defense, product liability, medical malpractice, toxic/mass tort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a commitment to providing effective legal defense for their clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings
- Prepare legal documents and case strategies
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
- Provide clients with informed legal advice
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited institution
- Admission to practice in Illinois
- 3+ years of defense litigation experience
- Familiarity with insurance and liability law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
