Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of the electrical requirements, alarm initiating devices, control functions, alarm indicating appliances and the power requirements of a fire alarm system. Required knowledge also includes an understanding of the operation and use of manual fire alarm boxes, automatic fire detectors, audible and visual signaling appliances, annunciators, and other basic components of a fire alarm system.
Job Description – Fire Alarm Technician
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in testing, inspecting, and repairing Fire Alarm Control Panels and devices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- NICET I or II a plus or working towards obtaining NICET Level I
· Fire Alarm programming experience
· Results oriented
- Must have a valid Driver's license in good standing
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and inspections on FACP
- Complete and review inspection reports accurately prior to these results being sent to customers and AHJ’s
- Perform troubleshooting, services and repairs if necessary
