Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector. This key role ensures the integrity of the production processes and the delivery of exceptional products that exceed customer expectations.

Daily Responsibilities of the QC Inspector

Engage with shop employees and management.
Conduct In-Process, Final, and Initial Sample Inspections (ISIR).
Perform dimensional inspections and document results.
Ensure finished products meet specified tolerances and blueprints.
Maintain accurate documentation and inspection checklists.
Perform receiving inspections on incoming products.
Suggest process improvements for increased productivity.
Ensure compliance with specifications and internal procedures.
Issue non-conformance reports for defective parts.
Assist with customer complaint investigations.
Manage non-conformances detected throughout the process.

Required Capabilities of the QC Inspector

Customer-focused and detail-oriented.
Experience with quality inspection tools (caliper, gauges, and micrometers)
Proficient in reading technical prints.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of metals and non-destructive examination, is a plus
Familiarity with welding, machining, and assembly is a plus
Understanding of ASME, AWS, ASTM, CEMA, and ISO 9000.
Experience with quality systems and third-party inspections.
Background in quality control preferred.
Ability to write reports and review manuals.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Open to direction and guidance.
