Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney in managing legal cases and preparing for trials
- Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and court proceedings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files and documentation
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases
- Assist with project management and coordination of multiple cases simultaneously
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Proven experience working as a Family Law Paralegal
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in legal case management software and tools
- Excellent transcription skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Westlaw or other legal research databases
- Ability to proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
