Job Description
Think Consulting is actively seeking a Sr. Project Manager to support a leading technology integration firm specializing in large-scale electronic security systems projects based in Virginia. This role will be responsible for managing complex ESS implementations across commercial and government sectors.
Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire
Location: Remote with travel to Manassas and Richmond, VA Required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all phases of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client communications, building trust and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, managing tasks across engineering, installation, and support functions.
- Build and maintain detailed project timelines while adapting to changes in scope or site conditions.
- Perform on-site assessments and ensure that all project documentation and requirements are up to date and accessible to all stakeholders.
- Manage the flow of technical documentation, ensuring accurate, timely updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee final system integration, testing, and delivery to ensure seamless client handoff and post-deployment support readiness.
- Support ongoing process improvement efforts by identifying gaps and recommending workflow enhancements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical projects in commercial construction or security systems environments.
- Strong background in leading complex, fast-paced projects involving multiple moving parts and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and driving project alignment with business goals.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMP, with a practical understanding of Agile principles.
- Technically proficient and able to quickly adapt to new systems and tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the local region (typically within a 2-hour radius) with occasional extended travel.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable hands-on experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in delivering security infrastructure projects or experience in enterprise-scale integrations.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or CSPM.
- Prior experience managing installations in secure or regulated environments such as healthcare, data centers, or government facilities.
