** PARTIALLY ONSITE, 2-3 days/week in Foster City **


Position Overview:

The Manager of Contracts Management will support our internal stakeholders in drafting, redlining, reviewing, negotiating, and executing clear agreements with business partners and providers. This will include a variety of commercial agreements, including Software Licensing, Manufacturing, Supply, and Quality Agreements.


You will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and managing contract activities across multiple functions and domestic and international environments. We’re actively looking for someone with significant experience in contracts drafting and negotiations in the pharma industry, as well as experience working in fast-paced, high growth start-up environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure, draft, redline, review, and negotiate contracts: Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of contract language relative to the business need, compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to identify issues and business requirements, and obtain input on timelines and deliverables.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate contract terms based on strategy discussions, key stakeholder input, approved contract standard terms and conditions, and organizational needs and expectations.
  • Ensure that the contract is complete, accurate and all risks have been identified to the business owner and the proper reviews/approvals completed prior to execution.
  • Work with business owners on any amendments, contract terminations, and/or contract renewals.
  • Ensure that contracts are properly documented into the contract repository.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of templates.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in contracts management within the Biotech/Pharma industry
  • Broad knowledge with different types of Commercial contract agreements
  • Experience with international agreements highly preferred
  • Experienced in contract drafting, review, redline, negotiation and finalization with the ability to understand and draft complex legal and business terms
  • Experience with DocuSign CLM or similar contract lifecycle management software
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a start-up environment
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement even in ambiguous situations
  • Common sense, great judgement, and good people skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a relevant field
  • JD/Law degree or similar education in legal studies considered a plus
