The Aircraft Parts Clerk position is a critical member of the Parts and Maintenance team, based at the SJU airport. This position will ensure our Maintenance Department is supported with the necessary parts in an accurate and timely fashion.

To keep our planes running on time, and safely, availability of an accurate parts inventory is critical to our maintenance team operations.

Shift:

Full time- 40 hours/week position.

Must be flexible and able to work variable shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Summary:

The Aircraft Parts Clerk is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking aircraft parts, tools, and supplies to support aircraft maintenance operations. This role ensures timely availability of parts and maintains accurate inventory records in compliance with company procedures and aviation regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming aircraft parts, tools, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems (manual and/or digital).
  • Issue parts and supplies to maintenance personnel upon request, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Track part usage, stock levels, and reorder as necessary to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Ensure all aircraft parts are stored securely and in compliance with FAA or other regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for part orders, returns, and warranties.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents for parts being returned, repaired, or transferred.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of stockroom and parts storage areas.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with quality assurance and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or aviation is a plus.
  • Previous experience in aviation parts, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with aircraft parts, maintenance terminology, and FAA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management systems..
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse/stockroom environments.
  • Must be eligible to work in USA, and pass background and security clearances if required.

Working Conditions and Environment:

  • Work is performed in a combination of warehouse and office environments.
  • May involve shift work, weekends, or overtime depending on operational needs.
