Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Service and Parts Advisor to join our family-owned dealership specializing in mobility vans and adaptive vehicle solutions. In this role, you’ll be the key point of contact for our customers, helping them schedule service, coordinate repairs, and order parts tailored to their mobility needs. You’ll ensure accuracy and efficiency in every step, from verifying parts to keeping customers informed about their vehicle’s status. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers professionally and assess their vehicle service needs (walk-in, phone and email.)
- Write accurate, detailed work orders that reflect both customer concerns and opportunities for up-sell.
- Identify and recommend additional services based on vehicle condition, maintenance history, and technician inspection.
- Translate tech recommendations into clear value for the customer - sell the why, not just the what.
- Prioritize high-margin work and schedule jobs to minimize idle tech hours and maximize bay efficiency.
- Assist Service and Parts Manager with administrative tasks.
- Assist with Service scheduling; communicating changes promptly to customers, technicians and managers.
- Pick up parts from local vendors, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, or in a related automotive role preferred
- Knowledge of automotive systems; experience with mobility vans or adaptive vehicle equipment a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient with dealership management systems, service scheduling, and parts ordering software
- Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, vendors, and customers to ensure timely service and accurate parts fulfillment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training preferred
- Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50lbs.
- Requires sitting for extended periods of time and frequent phone communication.
